Our most chocolate-forward roast, from the mountains of Tarrazu, Costa Rica, synonymous with coffee excellence. This ultra-premium coffee is perhaps the smoothest, richest cup of filtered or espresso for a layered chocolate single origin. The varietals of Caturra, Catuai and Obata cherries work together to offer very appealing wet aroma, with orange and vanilla accents (medium roast). The velvety consistency in the cup is noticeable right away. We steered clear of lighter roasts that lacked development, after tasting medium-roast pour over and darker-roasted espresso. The sweetness and body is very distinct as layers of chocolate complete notes of burnt marshmallow and sesame cookie. Cups are heavy with body but also very clean. If you want a cup of coffee leaving you with as much sticky sweetness as you can stand, then Estate Tarrazu is it, any manner you brew it.
